As reported by the club’s official website, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has provided some fresh updates regarding Marcus Rashford’s recovery.
Marcus Rashford was tipped to undergo surgery after being out of form for England and he was struggling badly for United at the end of last season due to fitness issues.
Rashford had admitted that surgery would be the best option for him. He was expected to be out for 3 months.
The winger had successfully undergone his shoulder surgery and has been recovering pretty well. He has started training but his return date is still not confirmed.
Solksjaer was asked about the player’s return to action, for which he said:
“Yeah, it’s going well. They’ve worked really hard, both of them. Alex is a bit further on than Marcus. I don’t think we’ll see Marcus until after the international break but Alex has worked well and will be in the squad as well.”
Alex Telles could be back in action but for Marcus Rashford it may take a few weeks more to get back to complete fitness. He may be ready to play by mid-October and will be available for some very crucial ties in the month of November as well.
For now, his position has been filled very efficiently by Paul Pogba, who has been playing well as a wide man for Manchester United.
