Manchester United defeated West Ham to move into the top four of the table. It was much of a not so easy victory as West Ham took a lead in the first half and United had no answers to it. Yet the team didn’t lose hope. Solksjaer introduced Bruno and Rashford in the second half and that was enough to provide the inspiration. Mata too was brought in and he played a wonderful ball for Rashford to score.
It was an all-round second-half performance by the team and they made sure that the team takes all the three points here in front of the fans. Solkjaer opted for a strong team ahead of the match.
Every key player made their way in playing eleven except one. Fred played most of the matches for the team and was thought of being in this match too.
But the latest controversy against PSG marched a debate whether Solksjaer will play Fred or not. Obviously, Fred was not the only reason for the loss against PSG but his red card led down the team at a crucial moment and as it happened, Fred didn’t play the game against West Ham and was not even on the bench as United cruised to victory.
Many anticipated that his omission was a means of punishment to him by Solksjaer following his red card incident against PSG. But the case was the opposite, the manager stating that due to tactical reasons they had to keep Fred out of this contest.
Solskjær: "Fred's not injured. He's getting ready for the rest of the season because we've got a long season. Today it was a tactical decision to go with a more physically strong, or with more height. Height is more right than physically strong." #mulive [mu]

Height reasons appear more logical. This omission whatsoever will provide Fred some quality rest too for the upcoming match against Leipzig. Whether he will play or not will all depend on his inclusion. Solksjaer will access the situation of its players and whether they can win it for the team against Leipzig.
