Solksjaer has revealed that many of his star players will return very soon. The players who played for England and Brazil are still on vacation and will return to training after 10 days.
Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, new signing Jadon Sancho, Dean Henderson, and Brazilian playmaker Fred have all been enjoying their vacation after a busy International schedule. He also said that many of the senior players of other countries will be joining from Monday.
Sancho is expected to start his training with Manchester United from the first week of August. It means that he will miss United’s next two preseason matches.
Solksjaer revealed that the players will join as soon as they come back from their vacations. While speaking to the club’s official website, Solksjaer said: “Many will join in training on Monday so they’ve got their catch up, a few weeks. That’s, unfortunately, the way it is, every year where there is a tournament, we have to catch up and hopefully, they’ve done the work we’ve told them to do when they’re away. The English players and Fred, the ones who went all the way to the finals in the Copa America and the Euros – they needed a longer break. They’ll be back with us in about 10 days’ time.”
Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Victor Lindelof, and De Gea may return sooner than expected. Many of the senior players like Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have already started their preparations for the upcoming season and have been playing the preseason games.
