Cristiano Ronaldo got his shot to fame at Manchester United and it was at Old Trafford where he became of a kind. The Portuguese winger was one of United’s best signings in the Premier League era and carried the team with him. In his latest press conference, Solskjaer has compared Bruno Fernandes to his Portuguese teammate and former Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
Bruno Fernandes has very soon become Manchester United’s talisman since his arrival in January. The midfielder is very similar to Ronaldo when it comes to goalscoring, charisma and leadership and is Portuguese, like Ronaldo. Ronaldo’s former teammate and the Red Devils boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also compared Cristiano to Manchester United’s current talisman Bruno Fernandes recently.
In the press conference, when Solskjaer was asked about Bruno’s comparisons with Ronaldo, he said: “He does definitely have that presence. He has that influence and impact on his team mates. We can just look at the results since he’s come in. He’s got lots of energy, leadership; he’s a team player, which is a key here now for us going forward.”
The comparisons are massive when we think of what Ronaldo was able to do, not just individually but in terms of collective trophies as well. Bruno Fernandes is loving life in the red half of Manchester and is the main man in the Red Devils camp in terms of creating chances upfront. Solskjaer will hope that Bruno Fernandes continues his uphill progress at Manchester United for as long as possible.
