Mason Greenwood has had a fantastic start to his senior-level football career at Manchester United, scoring 17 goals for the club last season. The teenager has also been under serious criticism after he was taken out of the England squad, after the incidents in Iceland. In his recent post-match interview, Solskjaer explained why he didn’t include Greenwood in the Manchester United’s Everton matchday squad.
Greenwood has already opened his account for this season and might be an influential figure in the course of the season for the Red Devils. But in some of the matchdays, Greenwood hasn’t featured at all, due to some or the other niggle. The English striker was not in United’s squad as the Red Devils faced Everton a couple of days ago.
When Solskjaer was asked about Greenwood’s absence, he said: “He wasn’t feeling well last night. He looked well in training, he looked OK. But then he reported he was not well and can’t travel.”
The international break seems to have come in the perfect time for Solskjaer as he ould get to have some of his players at their fittest.
Greenwood is one of the greatest teenage talents to have played in the Premier League and has a great future ahead of him. But he will need to make sure that he remains fit for most of his career and works hard to achieve what he is set out to become.
