Edinson Cavani has had a good start to his career in the Premier League with Manchester United after joining in the summer transfer window. The Uruguayan striker provides the Red Devils with something else than the likes of Martial and Greenwood and is a proven goalscorer at the highest level. In his recent pre-match press conference, Solskjaer has hailed Cavani’s professionalism and feels he will do well against PSG.
Manchester United face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League later tonight as Cavani will face his former club. El Matador scored a brace against Southampton in the Premier League and will be eager to score against his former employers as well. But it was earlier reported that Cavani could be banned up to three games for his comments on social media.
In his press conference, Solskjaer said: “Edinson is ready to play. Of course, it’s his own club where he’s the top scorer, so that will affect him mentally. From knowing him, that’ll give him energy and he’ll be ready. He’s so professional and experienced and, of course, he’ll work on his mindset today and tomorrow to be ready for the game.”
Edinson Cavani is almost a surety to play a part against PSG tonight, as Martial and Greenwood have been struggling for goals. Though he has been under scrutiny, Cavani has managed to get the goals for the Red Devils despite all the criticism. Solskjaer would want the Uruguayan striker to make an impact later tonight as well and get goals for the team.
