Manchester United have gone on a crazy run of form after the thrashing to Tottenham before the international break at Old Trafford. But since then the Red Devils haven’t lost a game and have even defeated the likes of PSG and RB Leipzig. Solksjaer has praised a player who has been ever-present in the team since the Tottenham game, Fred, calling him the marathon man.
Fred has been a revelation under Solskjaer, as the Norwegian has used Fred in his favourite role. The tenacious midfielder has been one of the best players for Manchester United this season and Solskjaer understands his importance in the squad. In his latest post-match interview with Manchester United’s Official Website, Solskjaer has lauded Fred and has talked about his role in the midfield.
In his interview, he said: “I’m sure Fred covered every single blade of grass on that pitch. It’s unbelievable how that boy just recovers for the next one. The work off the ball, it was incredible.”
Fred was one of the best players against RB Leipzig and won the ball back for United in four of the five goals.
Fred finally looks like a player he promised to be when he was signed under Jose Mourinho. The Brazilian is great on and off the pitch and is a huge Manchester United fan and shows his passion for the club as he plays for the badge.
