Manchester United FC gear up to start their Premier League campaign, as they face Crystal Palace later tonight at Old Trafford. With a small yet chaotic vacation, several United players were under the limelight, for both the right and wrong reasons. The Red Devils manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, in his latest pre-match press conference has given a hint of who might feature against Crystal Palace tonight.
United’s only summer signing so far, Van de Beek has settled well into life at Manchester and has a good chance of featuring tonight. Even the likes of Pogba, Fernandes, and Matic have returned to training, as reported earlier. Solskjaer has almost an entire squad at his disposal except for Jones, Tuanzebe, and Romero, who haven’t featured in training yet.
In his latest press conference, Solskjaer said: “Of course (Van de Beek, Fernandes and Pogba) can start together, but you’ve got Scott McTominay, Fred and Nemanja Matic in midfield as well, so it’s not just about 11 players or three players in a squad. I’m sure we’ll see them together.” He also added that “I’m not gonna tell you who it is tomorrow but Luke (Shaw) and Paul are available for selection for how long we need them.”
Solskjaer would be expecting his big guns to fire against Crystal Palace as United look to start the season on a high.
