Manchester United are back in the Champions League this season after spending the last season in the Europa League. Having been drawn into arguably the toughest group of the Champions League season, United have done extremely well in the competition yet. In his interview with Manchester United’s Official Website, Solskjaer looks to aim at topping the Champions League group this season with nine points already from four games.
The Red Devils are drawn in the group of death in the Champions League, along with Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig. The Red Devils have won against the likes of PSG and RB Leipzig already, much to the surprise of many. After the victory against Istanbul a couple of nights ago, Solskjaer looks to top the Champions League group.
In his interview, he said: “We need one more point to go through, but of course we want to be top of the group. That’s our aim, but we’ll take one game at a time and now it’s PSG coming here, so we’re looking forward to that one.”
With PSG next up in the midweek and then RB Leipzig next up in the Champions League, Solskjaer will look to win at least one of the games to top the table. Manchester United just need one more point in the two games to make sure they qualify for the Round of 16. It will be a surprise to many if Manchester United top their Champions League group which is the group of death.
