Solskjaer Provides Pogba Injury Update

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that “it won’t be too long” before midfielder gem Paul Pogba is available for selection again as the France international nears a return from his ankle injury.

The World Cup-winning midfielder has missed United’s past seven games with an injury he suffered back in September but is closing in on a return to first-team action. The 26-year-old midfielder said last week that he would need another “two weeks of rehabilitation” after the plaster comes off his leg and then would resume training.

However, with the timeframe given by United boss Solskjaer, Pogba would still miss the Premier League trip to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane and the Europa League visit to Astana at the end of November.

The 46-year-old Norwegian was asked about Pogba’s rehabilitation and replied by stating that it won’t be too long after the international break for Pogba to return and stated that by early December, the Frenchman should be available for selection, “I think he said it himself, didn’t he? He won’t be too long before he’s out of his cast, he’s going to work through the international break and hopefully, we’ll have him back in early December.”

Pogba was the top scorer for Manchester United last season but hasn’t been able to influence games as much as he would have liked to this term. United currently sits in 10th place on the Premier League table and his return could be imperative for the Premier League side to get back into the groove and string together a bunch of positive results.
