There has been a lot of talk about Donny Van de Beek at Manchester United since his arrival at Old Trafford in the summer. The Dutchman has done well since he has come in and has played some great games for the Red Devils in the Premier League and Champions League. In his pre-match interview, Solskjaer has talked about Van de Beek and his debut in the Premier League.
Against Southampton tonight, Van de Beek has made his first start in the Premier League after some good performances. The Dutchman has played some great football for the Red Devils but hasn’t had the chance to start for the United in the Premier League yet. Solskjaer praised the midfielder when he was asked about Van de Beek’s debut.
In his interview, Solskjaer said: “Donny is definitely ready. He’s been good in training and he has been good in games he’s played, in the Champions League. It’s never been Premier League or Champions League. It’s to give him time to settle into the group.”
Van de Beek’s performance tonight was great and completely justified Solskjaer’s decision to start him.
Donny Van de Beek played the entire 90 minutes and played an instrumental part in tonight’s victory at the Saint Mary’s Stadium. The three points for the Red Devils means that are in a good place in the Premier League table, even with a game in hand, after an awful start to the season.
