Manchester United FC have had a torrid summer transfer window, as the club has signed only one player and sold only Alexis Sanchez. The club has failed to make any money from departures due to the incompetency in the United board, which has caused a social media frenzy amongst the fans. But in his latest pre-match conference, Solskjaer has talked about business this summer at United.
The United fan base has gone into a frenzy with the little transfer activity from the club, even though this summer was meant to be important for Solskjaer. With so much disgust coming from the fans, the manager has tried to calm the situation. The transfer window closes in just about 15 days, and Solskjaer has tried to put positivity in the United fans amongst the chaos.
He said: “Of course, we’ve done some business with Donny, I’m very happy and delighted to get him in. An exceptional, smashing lad that’ll give us something. I can’t say anything about other clubs’ players out of respect for them, I can’t speculate.” Van de Beek has a huge chance of featuring against Crystal Palace tonight and has a chance to win hearts at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer also added that “We understand that to get even further, one, we need to develop what we have and, two, we need strengthen the team. But let’s wait and see if we manage to bring anyone in. I’ve been in dialogue with the club, we’re always discussing and, hopefully, let’s see if we can bring anyone in.”
Manchester United need to act quickly and need to complete the priority signings to have any hope of challenging for silverware this season.
