Manchester United suffered a bad defeat at the hands of PSG a couple of days ago in the Champions League. But the Red Devils will have to take the focus from the Champions League now to the Premier League, where they go to London to face West Ham. In his recent pre-game press conference, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has updated about the fitness of the Manchester United squad.
The Red Devils squad has been hampered in the recent past with injuries to several star players of the team. But the likes of Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba returned against PSG which will increase the strength of the squad. But against PSG, United faced another blow as well and Solskjaer has updated about the fitness of the squad.
In his interview, Solskjaer said: “Marcus has been training this morning, not fully, but he’s joined in with the group. His shoulder stopped him finishing the game (against PSG). He’s getting treatment and hopefully he’ll be part of the squad that travels. He’s having treatment now after training. Luke’s not ready yet. Apart from that, we had a big squad training again.”
Marcus Rashford has been instrumental for Manchester United this season and the Red Devils will surely miss him he doesn’t make it to the squad. Despite that, Solskjaer has the likes of Mason Greenwood and Dan James to choose from as an alternative to Rashford. Solskjaer would hope that Rashford will recover well from his injury and the Englishman gets back to his best on the pitch as soon as possible.
