Solskjaer: We will soon see the best of Marcus Rashford

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been positive about Marcus Rashford’s return from injury. After being out for nearly three months, Rashford made his first start against Leicester and marked his return with a goal in the second half.

Solskjaer has promised Man United fans that they will see the better of Marcus Rashford very soon. He is just 23 years old and his prime years are way ahead of him.

As reported by the Independent, Solskjaer said:

“I know we’ll see the best of Marcus in the years to come. He’s done remarkable things at a young age, and he’s now coming into his best age for a footballer. He’s learning. He’s getting more and more experience. He’s had time to reflect on what he’s done off the pitch as well because he’s done some fantastic things, and now maybe prioritize his football and focus on football.”

Marcus Rashford played more than 50 games last season for Man United and was ever-present for Solskjaer even though he was playing with an injury. His shoulder had started troubling him as the season came to an end.

England’s Euro Campaign was a pretty shambolic one for the young attacker as he was unused for most of the matches and even lost the crucial penalty at the finals against Italy.

Man United’s medical team had advised him to undergo surgery in order to ease off the strain on him. Rashford had revealed later that he will be out for a while and will return back stronger.

He has now recovered well after successful shoulder surgery and made a return against Leicester City. His efforts paid off as he scored his first goal of this season and it was a wonderful finish.
