Manchester United FC have now made it a trend to change managers every two or three years, since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. Current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done a great job of bringing Champions League football back to Old Trafford. But after an unsuccessful transfer window, it is being reported by the Daily Star that Manchester United have already planned on replacing Solskjaer with Mauricio Pochettino.
After the transfer window shut last night, Manchester United have signed none of their transfer priorities, most notably, Jadon Sancho. The Red Devils didn’t add a centre-back nor a right-winger to their squad, which were the weakest areas in the squad. United haven’t started the season well and with the poor transfer window, the future for Solskjaer looks grim.
It is now being reported that the United board have already started talks with Pochettino and will replace Solskjaer with the Argentine if he fails this season. Pochettino has been earlier linked to United’s managerial job but Solskjaer was preferred to the Argentine. It would be unfair for Solskjaer to get the sack this season as he hasn’t been given his players.
It is high time for Solskjaer to get the players in shape and performing on the pitch, or else sooner rather than later, he will face the sack.
