Next up in the Premier League, Manchester United play the Saints of Southampton away from home as the Red Devils will look to win. The away form this season has been absolutely amazing for the Red Devils who will be confident from the Basaksehir victory. But the victory in the Champions League also came at a cost as Lindelof and Wan-Bissaka are doubts for the Southampton game.
It is very likely for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to go for a similar lineup that started a couple of nights ago against Southampton. The Saints have been in great form but will not have their talisman Danny Ings while playing against United. The Red Devils themselves are in good form themselves and will look to capitalize on Southampton’s loss.
On the other hand, Southampton might, like other teams, sit deep and defend while soaking up all the pressure from Manchester United. With the likes of Ward-Prowse and Vestergaard in the side, the Saints will be dangerous from set-pieces. Though Southampton are better placed in the Premier League table currently than Manchester United, the Red Devils hold the upper hand in this fixture.
WHEN AND WHERE?
Date – 29th November Sunday
Time – 2:00 PM BST
Venue – St. Mary’s Stadium
TEAM NEWS –
The inclusion of Shaw is impossible to the gam whereas, there are doubts on the likes of Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof and Pogba. Lindelof was taken off at half-time due to the fact that Solskjaer didn’t want to risk him because of a back injury. Wan-Bissaka and Pogba both have problems with their ankles and are thus doubts for the game.
As mentioned earlier, Southampton will be without Danny Ings, who is the club’s main man definitely. But even without him, Southampton have done well in the Premier League and won games with Che Adams and Theo Walcott.
