After a year, Manchester United star Mason Greenwood had his criminal case dismissed on Thursday.
The decision came as a huge relief for Greenwood, who may resume playing professional football after a break of more than a year.
However, Liam Broady, a British tennis player, has made it obvious that he is not happy about the decision to dismiss the attempted rape and assault charges against Greenwood.
The former Australian Open Boys’ Doubles Champion has recently voiced his opinion that Greenwood should be banned from participating in professional football games.

The 29-year-old tennis star from Stockport has also expressed his displeasure with the British criminal justice system. While writing on his Twitter handle, he said:
“Mason Greenwood should never be anywhere near a professional football club ever again. Just goes to show how inept the criminal justice system is in the UK. We’ve all heard the recordings.”
“Makes me sick for how this sort of a high profile case could affect other people suffering from abuse. CPS the richer you are the more you get away with. Broken system.”
Even though the charges against Mason Greenwood have been dropped, he won’t be able to play football again for a while According to reports, Greenwood won’t be permitted to participate in a competitive game until the internal inquiry is finished.
The club’s management made the decision to suspend him last year following Greenwood’s arrest by the Greater Manchester Police. Greenwood made his debut at Old Trafford in July 2018. After participating in 129 games, the Bradford native has so far scored 35 goals for the Red Devils.
On January 22, 2022, he played his final game in the Premier League against West Ham United.
