The Glazers are ready to listen to offers in excess of £5 billion

As reported by the Daily Mail, The Glazers will consider bids over £5 billion. Still, it’s believed that they’re aiming for an increase to £9 billion if tech giants like Apple, Amazon, and Google express interest.

In November, the Glazers declared that they were prepared to sell Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag sounded optimistic about the situation when questioned about a prospective takeover since he believes the Glazers’ departure will provide him more money in the transfer market.

The Raine Group, which was also involved in the sale of Chelsea earlier this year, is providing assistance to the Glazers over the potential sale.

However, it is still unclear who will win the final battle to take over the ownership role at Old Trafford. Although no bids have yet been placed, it appears that the Glazers are hoping that some of the major IT firms will knock on their door.

After 17 years of struggle under Glazer’s control, it goes without saying that a complete takeover by companies like Amazon or Google will elevate United to the next level.

The Red Devils have suffered significant losses as per financial reports from the first quarter of 2023. Any new owner will have to deal with the losses while also providing a good bid to be accepted.
