Manchester United FC have been reportedly in the search of an attacking midfielder this summer transfer window, to bolster their midfield depth. The Red Devils have been linked to Jack Grealish since January but a move for the Englishman hasn’t materialized yet. It is now reported by Manchester Evening News that United are looking at Houssem Aouar after his performance in Ligue-1 and the Champions League.
Grealish was one of the most creative players in the Premier League last season and was linked with a move to United. But as Aston Villa survived the drop, partly due to Grealish, the club has increased Grealish’ valuation. It is widely believed that Grealish has been priced out of a move to United and thus the Red Devils have been looking elsewhere.
Houssem Aouar has been one of the finds of last season in Ligue-1, as the mesmeric dribbler has starred for Lyon. Aouar has also done well against teams in the Champions League and has drawn the attention of Premier League giants Manchester City and Arsenal. United are reportedly eyeing Aouar to strengthen their midfield department.
Aouar would surely be a great signing for the Manchester club, but it is unlikely for United to sign him sighting City’s and Arsenal’ interest.
