Thiago Alcantara has reintroduced himself as one of the best midfielders in the world as Bayern Munich won the treble with Thiago at the heart of things. With his contract running out, United and Liverpool have been heavily linked to the Spaniard. Thiago’s future has been a talking point of the summer as the midfielder is keen to move on from Germany. The midfielder was prolific last season and was one of the main reasons for Bayern to get the treble. But Thiago has entered his final year of contract with the Bavarian club, thus Bayern are desperate to sell him as he doesn’t want to stay.
It has been reported that Thiago’s wage demands are proving to be the stumbling block on his transfer. Thiago earns about £200,000 per week at Bayern, which is too much according to United chiefs. The Spanish midfielder is reportedly keen on joining Liverpool, but the Reds haven’t placed a bid yet sighting wage issues.
Only time will tell if Thiago becomes a Manchester United player or a Liverpool player, but he will be expected to make his team better.
