Manchester United snatched out an easy win against Tottenham Hotspur to move to the fifth spot in the points table. Solskjaer and his men put on a dominant performance and their win was much deserved against a Tottenham side that lacked confidence throughout the match.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, and Marcus Rashford were the goalscorers of the match. The attacking partnership of Cavani and Ronaldo turned out to be a golden one for United as Solskjaer’s decision to start the two great strikers together turned out to be his best.
Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford scored his third goal in just four matches after returning from injury. He is taking no time to adapt and that is a very good sign for Manchester United.
A change in formation against Tottenham made things pretty better for many United players, especially their defenders. Let’s rate every player and how they fared against a weak Tottenham side.
David De Gea: 7
Surprisingly the Spanish shot-stopper was quiet in the match as the Tottenham attackers failed to test him. They didn’t even manage a single shot on target throughout the entire 90 minutes.
Raphael Varane: 8
Whatever he did, was beyond amazement. The true leader and a commander at the back-line. His return from injury helped Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof to play at their best level.
