Manchester United defender, Axel Tuanzebe has had a difficult start to his Manchester United career, mainly due to injuries. The English centre-half was once touted one of the best young defenders in the world but his fitness has let him down big time. In his latest interview with United Review, Axel Tuanzebe talks about Manchester United’s poor home form this season and how they can get over it.
Axel Tuanzebe has come back strong from a long-term injury as he was superb against PSG. In his first game in almost a year, Tuanzebe was successfully able to stop the likes of Neymar and Mbappe. In his recent interview, he talks about how United should get over their poor home form this season, especially in the Premier League.
In his talk, Tuanzebe said: “I think we just need to go out and play the game like it’s any other game. It’s as surprising to us as it is to the fans and everyone else watching. But we definitely need to correct it.”
He also said that fans are a huge part of home fixtures, but due to the pandemic, the “home advantage” was completely written off.
If Manchester United want to have any chance of challenging for the Premier League title, the squad needs to perform better at Old Trafford. Solskjaer needs to learn to put his best players in a team instead of just benching the likes of Pogba and Van de Beek even against sides that will defend deep. Tuanzebe has a huge chance of playing on Sunday and he will be expected to do well.
