Manchester United FC U-23 starlet Tahith Chong has been recently in the news for being linked with a loan move away. The Dutch sensation has found first-team minutes hard to come by even after committing his long-term future with Manchester United. As reported earlier, Chong was linked to a loan move to Werder Bremen and now the loan move is almost official.
Tahith Chong has travelled to Germany along with the United squad for the Europa League knock-out stages. With a loan deal coming close, Chong was spotted today training with the Werder Bremen squad which puts all doubts aside. According to reports, United have already struck a deal with Bremen that will keep Chong in Germany for the next 10 months.
The German club is thought to pay most of Chong’s wages but will not have an option to sign him permanently. This will be a great step ahead in Chong’s career, as he has shown great potential in the Premier League 2. But the starlet has never been able to show his potential in the first-team and needs to get the first-team experience.
The Red Devils will be happy to see Chong do well in Germany and then return to fight for a place in the starting XI at Old Trafford.
