Manchester United FC were shocked as their search for a full-back was hijacked, when Sergio Reguilon joined Tottenham instead of the Red Devils. But the Red Devils haven’t given up on their target of signing a left-footed left-back this summer. It is now being reported by ESPN that United have agreed on personal terms and a five-year deal with Alex Telles, and are working to agree on terms with Porto.
It was earlier reported about Tottenham hijacking a deal for Reguilon, who had also agreed on personal terms with United. Telles has also been closely linked to the Red Devils with only one year left in his contract with Porto. The Brazilian full-back has told Porto that he wants to leave for a bigger club and won’t sign an extension with the Portuguese club.
But it is now reported that United have agreed on personal terms with Telles on a five-year deal at Old Trafford. Although the Red Devils haven’t agreed on terms with Porto, it is believed that both the clubs will ultimately agree on a deal. The 27-year left-back has also attracted interests from several clubs like Atletico Madrid and PSG.
Manchester United should be all over this deal and must agree on a fee with Porto and get Telles as soon as possible, because of the quality he possesses.
