United captain Bruno Fernandes wins the Player of the Month Award for April

As reported by the club’s official website, Manchester United star midfielder Bruno Fernandes has won the April Player of the Month honour for the second time this season.

The United captain receives the award after setting an excellent example with his performances this month.

He contributed an assist in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinal matchup against Sevilla, and his absence in the second leg due to a three-yellow card accumulation was felt keenly. Last month, he also scored and assisted in the Premier League. He scored a sublime goal against Aston Villa.

As stated by the club, Bruno received an astounding 49% of the vote. Victor Lindelof finished second with 41% of the vote. Luke Shaw came in third with 10% of the votes.

The Portuguese maestro has won two Player of the Month award and is one behind Marcus Rashford, who has three Player of the Month award.

If Fernandes wins another award, then it would be interesting to see who will win the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year honour.

If Bruno wins this award then he will be one win behind joint record holders David de Gea and Cristiano Ronaldo, who each have won four Sir Matt Busby awards.

With two Player of the Year honours, Bruno is currently tied for second place with Brian McClair, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and Wayne Rooney. Meanwhile, Rashford has never previously won it.
