United face a tough series of matches in the month of October. Their first game coming against Leicester on Saturday and then they face Atalanta at home in a UCL group stage encounter. They then face Liverpool and Tottenham in the last few weeks.
With Harry Maguire injured too, Manchester United would be without two of their most prolific center-backs in the squad. It also means that Solskjaer will need to change his team set-up for the upcoming matches.
Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly will get the nod to command the back-line. It doesn’t sound sweet for the Manchester United fans and the manager himself, as we all wanted our team’s world-class centre-backs to help the team during this tough series of games.
Meanwhile for Raphael Varane the biggest positive will be of winning the UEFA Nations League for France and adding another medal to his already staggering trophy cabinet.
