United could make a wise decision by replacing Sabitzer with Ryan Gravenberch

As reported by the Mirror, Manchester United is set to make an investment in its midfield region, and they have already been linked to a number of star players.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Alexis Mac Allister and Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch are also under consideration, although we believe that the latter may be a more feasible signing.

The Red Devils will probably spend the majority of their summer spending money on a star striker. This can leave them with little money to spend on other goals while still adhering to financial fair play.

At Ajax, Gravenberch enjoyed a really successful season in 2021/22 under Erik ten Hag. In 42 games across all competitions, he recorded three goals and six assists.

The Dutch international had won 1.6 tackles and 5.7 duels per appearance. He successfully completed more than 86% of his passes.

His performances last summer led to a transfer to Bayern Munich, but he has struggled there. He has currently played for slightly over 700 minutes.

Therefore, the 20-year-old might seek a new challenge this summer, and we think that he would be a better option than Marcel Sabitzer who is presently on loan at Old Trafford.

Prior to choosing Sabitzer, the Red Devils wanted to sign Gravenberch in January and they could make another attempt to sign him this summer. Gravenberch is apparently willing to work with Ten Hag once more, and in our opinion, he would be an improvement over Sabitzer in terms of distribution and duels won.

Sabitzer, who turned 29 earlier last month, would be a much better investment for the team as he is in the early stages of his career.
