Manchester United and club manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have reportedly been in the lookout of a left-back this summer. The Red Devils have been reported heavily linked with the likes of Sergio Reguilon lately with the player shining for Spain on his international debut. It is now being reported by Monday’s edition of A Bola that United are close to signing Alex Telles and have intensified contacts with his agents.
Earlier in the summer, United were linked with Alex Telles but the interest faded away very soon. The 27-year old has set the world alight in the Portuguese League and deserves a move to a better league. Chelsea were also interested in Telles but instead signed Ben Chilwell from Leicester City for about £50m.
According to reports, United have lately intensified their contacts with the left-backs agents who will be flying to Manchester to complete a deal. The Brazilian left-back has just one more year left in his contract and Porto are desperate to sell him. It has been reported that United will be expecting a price tag of less than €30m for Telles because of his contract.
Telles would be a good signing for United as he has all the attributes to adjust in the Premier League.
