United interested in signing Aaron Ramsey

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been reportedly in the lookout of an attacking midfielder this summer transfer window as a back-up to Fernandes. The Red Devils have been linked with the likes of Jack Grealish and Donny Van de Beek, but the club still hasn’t made any moves. It is now reported by the Manchester Evening News that the Red Devils have had an interest in Aaron Ramsey.

Aaron Ramsey plies his trade at Juventus in Italy, after the Welshman moved on a free from Arsenal. Ramsey was one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and it was a shock to everyone when Arsenal let him go for free. But his injury record has been poor and has put a smokescreen on the talent that the midfielder possesses.

The 29-year old earns huge wages at Juventus and their new manager, Andrea Pirlo, is ready to let him go this summer. Though a good player on his day, Ramsey is very injury prone and this makes him a liability at any club. It is unlikely for United to sign Ramsey, but sighting the club’s transfer activity, anything is possible.

Ed Woodward has a tough job at his hands of getting the players Solskjaer wants but still hasn’t signed a player this summer. He needs to act quickly so that United have a chance to win silverware next season.
