Manchester United FC are reportedly gearing up for a busy summer transfer window, and are looking to complete their squad overhaul. There have been numerous names that have been linked to the Red Devils because of the stature of the club. The latest name being linked to the Manchester-based club is the French winger Kingsley Coman of Bayern Munich.
The Red Devils are looking for recruits down the flanks even after the success of Greenwood in the Premier League. Jadon Sancho has been linked to the Red Devils since the last summer transfer window as a long-term solution for the position. But with the pandemic scenario, the high price Dortmund are demanding for Sancho, will be very difficult to pay.
Manchester United are thus looking for alternatives for Sancho, as they want to keep their options open in the market. Kingsley Coman is reportedly now in the Red Devils’ radar and the club has had talks with his agents. The 24-year old is one of the fastest players in the world, is very skilful but isn’t getting enough game-time at Bayern Munich.
The French winger was touted as the next big thing for France, a couple of years ago, but hasn’t reached his potential. Coman can play on either of the flanks and this season for Bayern Munich, he has appeared in 35 games. Mostly from the bench, Coman has scored seven goals and provided seven assists this season for the Bavarian club.
With the arrival of Leroy Sane, from Manchester City this month, Coman has gone further down the pecking order. Coman is a young and talented player who surely deserves game-time looking at what he offers to his side. Bayern Munich are also interested to let go of the French winger, a loan move might as well be an option.
The Red Devils have reportedly had talks with Coman’s agents but a loan or a permanent move seems far off. Sancho remains the top priority for United and if a deal doesn’t happen with Dortmund, only then they will move for Coman. The transfer window opens in two days, and with it will come even more transfer rumours.
