With the Premier League campaign set to start on Saturday for Manchester United, the Red Devils still haven’t got their priority signing of Jadon Sancho. But United still haven’t placed a bid for the English international, making it even more difficult for the transfer to happen. It is now being reported by The Independent that the Red Devils are now looking at Ismaila Sarr as an alternative to Sancho.
Sarr plays for Watford, who were relegated from the Premier League last season. The winger had previously been linked to Liverpool and was good in parts last season in the Premier League, and is ready for the move. The Senegalese played 28 games for Watford last season in the Premier League, in which he scored five goals and provided four assists.
United are reportedly looking at Sarr as an alternative to Sancho if they fail to land the winger this summer. Sarr hasn’t featured in the Watford games yet and might even be trying to force a move to a club in the Premier League. He is a young and talented player but is nowhere near the likes of Sancho when it comes to the overall game.
Manchester United still believe that a deal for Sancho can happen with Dortmund, and will only look for alternatives if they fail to sign the English international.
