Manchester United FC have suddenly found themselves short of left-backs with the injury to Luke Shaw in the Premier League. The only proper left-back in the United squad is young Brandon Williams, who is just 19-years old and is playing his breakthrough season. It is now reported that the Red Devils are keen to get Alex Telles from Porto this transfer window.
Regarded as one of the best potentials in the world, Telles has had a stellar 2019/20 season at Porto. The 27-year old Brazilian left-back played a total of 49 games in all competitions for the Portuguese club. In those 49 games, Telles has scored 13 goals and has provided 12 assists making him one of the best attacking full-backs in the world.
The left-back has attracted a lot of interest from several big European clubs including Manchester United and Chelsea. Porto will not stand in the way of Telles leaving the club but will ask about £25m for their left-back. United are reportedly in advance talks with the Brazilian and he would surely be a great addition to the team.
Telles has all the qualities that Solskjaer would love to have in his left-back and is most importantly left-footed. Seeing all the links, Telles is almost sure to come to the Premier League this transfer window.
