United open talks with Osimhen

Manchester United FC are reportedly in the lookout of a right-winger at the end of this season to bolster their attack. Jadon Sancho seems to be their first priority, but if they fail to get the Englishman, the Red Devils have other options. It is now reported that United have opened talks with Lille’s talisman Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian has lit up the Ligue-1 with his pace, skills and goals, as he scored 13 goals for Lille this season in the league. The 21-year old is very versatile as he can play anywhere in the front three positions. The youngster has attracted a lot of attention with his blistering performances and it will be difficult for United to sign him.

Osimhen has had several bids from the Premier League and is closely linked to a move to Napoli. Lille rate the Nigerian very high and are reportedly demanding a figure of about £70m for Victor Osimhen. This season, he has played a total of 38 games, scoring 18 goals and providing five assists in that time.

He seems to be a shining star in the Lille side, which secured a fourth-place finish in the French Ligue-1 this season. The Red Devils might not want to pay what Lille want for Osimhen and that will be a stumbling block in the transfer. But, the Nigerian will rank high amongst the players United might look at to bolster their attacking options.

Manchester United’s front three have scored goals left, right and centre as Martial, Rashford and Greenwood have caused havoc in the Premier League. Martial and Rashford have scored 22 goals each in all competitions with 16 goals each in the Premier League. Greenwood has scored 17 goals in his first season with first-team as the future looks bright for the United starlet.

The Red Devils are also looking for a striker, as Ighalo will depart to his parent club in China on January 2021. United are on a quest to go back to winning ways and will need a deep squad to give them a chance to win trophies. Come summer we will see who the Red Devils get.
