United plotting a move for Tammy Abraham if they fail to sign Victor Osimhen

According to the Sun, Manchester United is considering making a move for Tammy Abraham if they fail to sign Victor Osimhen this summer.

The Napoli star is one of Europe’s most lethal strikers and has long been predicted to move to Old Trafford in the summer. However, he is not the only Serie A goal-scoring prodigy to make an impression.

Former Chelsea striker, Abraham has rekindled his career after joining AS Roma. He may not be having his finest season, but he is still a crucial player for the Italian outfit.

The Red Devils are keeping an eye on the striker as they search for long-term solutions upfront. United are reportedly interested in Abraham, but the star has previously been linked with Arsenal.

The 25-year-old has already demonstrated his ability to score in the Premier League with 15 goals during Frank Lampard’s first season.

After being dismissed under Thomas Tuchel’s leadership, he also adapted quickly to Italian life and scored 17 league goals in Roma’s maiden Europa Conference League season.

The English striker has only managed to score six goals in 22 Serie A games this season, with Roma currently sitting in fourth place and competing for a spot in the Champions League.

Due to Anthony Martial’s injury troubles and Cristiano Ronaldo’s unexpected exit, Wout Weghorst was brought in as a temporary signing for United until the end of the season.

However, despite United’s successful season, he has so far struggled to find his best form. The Red Devils will need to sign a world-class striker to lead the line-up front and form a strong attacking line-up next summer.
