Manchester United FC have been linked to a host of midfielder this transfer window as they look to bolster their midfield department. The two names that have been linked with the Red Devils the most are Jack Grealish and Donny Van de Beek. It is now being reported that the Red Devils are prioritizing a move for Van de Beek because he is a lot cheaper than Grealish.
Before the corona pandemic, it was almost sure of Grealish joining United as Aston Villa were going to get relegated. But in a series of a dramatic turn of events, Grealish was able to keep Aston Villa in the Premier League. But this has probably costed him with his move to United as Aston Villa owners now demand £80m for their talisman.
It is now being reported by the Evening Standard that United are now prioritizing Van de Beek instead because of Grealish’s high transfer fees. Van de Beek is ready for the next step in his career and Ajax will demand about £40m for their midfielder. Looking at stats, Van de Beek is more experienced than Grealish in the Champions League, has international games under his belt.
Van de Beek is younger than Grealish and is also more versatile, this it makes sense for United to sign him over Grealish.
