Manchester United FC have been closely linked to several left-footed left-backs this summer due to the injury woes of Luke Shaw. It was earlier reported about United’s keen interest in getting the likes of Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid. But it is now being reported by The Guardian that United are ready to place a bid on Madrid’s table for Sergio Reguilon.
The left-back has attracted a lot of attention after his great performances for Sevilla last season, where he was on-loan. His parent club, Real Madrid, doesn’t want Reguilon’s services because of the availability of Ferland Mendy and Marcelo and have made it player to the Spaniard. Sevilla were reportedly interested in signing Regulon but can’t afford to pay his price tag, as set as Real.
Despite United monitoring the left-back’s situation from quite some time, the club hasn’t placed a bid yet. But it is now being reported that United are ready to place a bid but will not match Real’s price tag of €30m. But the player wants to move to United and personal terms aren’t an issue, however United don’t want the buy-back clause that Real Madrid want.
Reguilon will be a great signing for Manchester United and could go on and become a permanent solution for the club’s left-back problems.
