Manchester United have been in the lookout of a striker, after failing to take their chances in the final games of the season. The Red Devils have been linked to several expensive prospects but haven’t made any headway for any target yet. Manchester United have been suggested to sign veteran Luis Suarez from Barcelona to bring in another goal-threat to the squad.
Manchester United managed to score only two goals in their final games of the season, despite taking more than 40 shots. United No.9, Anthony Martial has done very well this season but still needs to learn to score in big games. Brighton striker, Glen Murray, has suggested that United should be targeting Luis Suarez, as Barcelona are open to selling him this summer.
The Uruguayan striker is one of the best strikers in the world, but his form and age haven’t been on his side. But his experience would surely come in handy for United according to Murray, who was part of a TalkSport breakfast podcast. Suarez is reportedly close to a move to Ajax for about €16m but United could hijack a move if they wanted to.
Suarez is still surely one of the best strikers in the world on his day and has the knack of being in the right place at the right time. Looking at his age and his price tag, United should give it a thought of signing Suarez as he would be a perfect “Plan-B” for Solskjaer.
