As reported by the club’s official Twitter handle, Manchester United’s left-back, Alvaro Fernandez, is set to embark on a season-long loan journey to La Liga’s Granada CF.
Fernandez, who made the move from Real Madrid to Old Trafford in 2020, has sealed his transfer to Granada just before the summer transfer window closed.
Notably, this loan agreement does not include an option for Granada to buy Fernandez, indicating United’s confidence in the young player’s promising future.

In response to injuries affecting Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, the Red Devils had to make an urgent defensive signing.
The 20-year-old will now return to his home country to gain more experience in senior-level football. During the previous season, he was on loan with the Championship team Preston North End, where he contributed with six assists in 42 appearances.
While recent injuries created an opening for Fernandez to potentially join the first team, manager Erik ten Hag has decided to send him out on loan.

Ten Hag’s approach is to have young players prove themselves and earn their chance to play for United.
Fernandez’s move to Granada presents an opportunity for him to secure consistent playing time, something that might have been challenging to achieve at Old Trafford.
He left a positive impression on United supporters during the pre-season matches. As an attacking full-back, he possesses the attributes necessary for future development into a high-quality defender.
