As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Marcus Rashford has rejoined training at Carrington after missing Manchester United’s last two matches due to injury and illness.
Initially absent against Wolves due to a knock, he returned to training but then fell ill, ruling him out of the Bournemouth game.
However, Rashford participated in training with his teammates on Tuesday, raising the possibility of his involvement in upcoming Premier League matches against Chelsea and Fulham at Old Trafford.
Although United has performed well without Rashford this season, manager Erik ten Hag is eager to ensure the 25-year-old’s availability for the FA Cup final against Manchester City on June 3.
Furthermore, Rashford is on the verge of scoring his 30th goal of the season, a milestone not reached by a United player since Robin van Persie ten years ago.
United could secure a third-place finish by defeating Chelsea and Fulham this week. They need just one point from their final two Premier League games to secure a top-four finish and a return to the Champions League.
Ten Hag is expected to provide an update on Rashford’s availability during his press conference ahead of the Chelsea match.
It is expected that Anthony Martial will start up front against the Blues, with Rashford and Antony completing the final third.
