United takeover set to enter next phase with talks to start key conversations

As reported by the Express, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani are expected to meet Manchester United officials in person to discuss the next round of the club takeover plans.

The two parties have already submitted proposals to take over as owners of the Old Trafford club. Although the winning bidder has not yet been determined, it seems likely that they will learn who won the deal sooner rather than later.

The next stage of the takeover procedure is about to start. It will apparently be decided whether the candidates advance to the next level during a series of meetings scheduled to take place over the upcoming fortnight.

The mediators of the sale, the Raine Group, and United themselves will all be present at the talks, which are scheduled to take place in either London or Manchester. It will be more obvious who could close a deal after those negotiations are over.

There are still many obstacles to be addressed to officially approve a takeover. The Glazers must be persuaded to accept a bid because there have reportedly been conflicts among the American family over each member’s goals for the Red Devils in the past.

The United supporters are worried that the Glazers might wind up staying at the club because of this reason. Since November, United has been listed for sale, and the Glazers have made it clear that they want to leave.

Recently, Erik ten Hag revealed that Avram Glazer was in the locker room during the post-game celebrations at Wembley, where the Red Devils defeated Newcastle to win the Carabao Cup.
