Manchester United FC were heavily linked with Jack Grealish in January and before the corona pandemic hit football all around the world. The Aston Villa captain was supposedly ready to join the Red Devils this summer but things have gone quiet around Grealish. In such torrid times, former Villa legend Tony Daley has suggested Grealish stay put at Aston Villa.
Jack Grealish was one of United’s top targets in the January transfer window, before the arrival of Bruno Fernandes. Grealish has been fantastic this season in the Premier League and was one of the main reasons for Villa staying up in the Premier League. But Grealish believes that he has been priced out of a move this summer because of the club’s £80m valuation of him.
Recently, former Villa player Tony Daley was interviewed by Daily Star, where he gave his honest opinion about Grealish’s future. He said: “If Jack goes, he’ll have everyone’s blessing here at Villa because of what he’s just done for the club,” “But if he’s been picked for England already, he might think he’s better off staying with Villa, where he’s settled and plays every week.”
Daley also added that “The Euros are coming up next summer – and Jack needs to be playing to stay in Southgate’s plans.” Grealish would be a great addition to the United squad but still, he will not walk into the starting XI at Old Trafford.
