Manchester United FC have had a torrid start to the season as the team lost to Crystal Palace in their first game of the Premier League. The defensive woes on the show for United as Lindelof was at fault for all the three goals Palace scored. In the wake of United’s defensive fragilities, it has been reported by Manchester Evening News that the club is now focusing on getting defensive recruits this summer.
With about a couple of weeks left in the transfer window to close, United have signed only one player. It was reported that United’s priorities were a right-winger and a centre-back at the beginning of the summer. But with most of the transfer window completed, United have failed to sign either of their priority signings, much to the disgust of the fanbase.
It is now being reported that United are now seriously looking to strengthen the defence after the Crystal Palace disaster. The Red Devils have been closely linked to Alex Telles lately, but are now looking to sign even one more defender this season. The Red Devils need to be wary though, as they also need a right-winger desperately, and need to sign someone like Sancho to get going.
The transfer window closes in 14 days and Manchester United needs to conclude the transfers quickly or else they will have no chance of winning silverware next season.
