Thiago Alcantara has been linked to a move away from Bayern Munich since the beginning of this summer transfer window. The Spanish international has entered the final year of his contract with Bayern and is reportedly keen to move to the Premier League this summer. But it is now being reported by The Sun that United have entered the race to get Thiago’s signature.
Thiago is one of the best midfielders in the world and at 29-years of age, is at the peak of his powers. The Spaniard has been linked with a move to Liverpool all summer, but the English club hasn’t paid up yet. It is believed that Liverpool are unwilling to pay the €30m price tag set by Bayern on Thiago.
Sighting the problems in getting a transfer done, United have jumped into the race to sign the midfielder. The Red Devils have been previously linked to Thiago but a move has never materialized, but this time it just might. Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is reportedly expecting a bid to be tabled in the next few days, as United and Liverpool go head to head for Thiago.
