Manchester United FC are reportedly busy this summer in the lookout of a right-winger after the Sancho deal seems to have gone down. The Red Devils have a lack of depth and quality in their attacking department, which is visible in big games. Reportedly, Manchester United are now close to signing 29-year old Douglas Costa from Juventus according to Di Marzio.
The Red Devils have been looking to sign Jadon Sancho for the last couple of windows but seem to have lost contact with Dortmund. United have looked at several alternatives for Sancho if they don’t sign him and are currently looking at Douglas Costa. But the club is concerned about Costa’s age and his poor injury record and in fact, he was also injured in the latter stages of this season.
The Brazilian right-winger is one of the fastest players in the world despite his age and injuries. Costa has featured in 23 games this season in Serie-A, and has scored only one goal and has assisted five more. Though reported by a very credible source, the deal is unlikely to happen due to his age.
Jadon Sancho is still the priority signing for Manchester United, and the manager is hell-bent is adding quality to the squad.
