Usain Bolt praises Erik ten Hag for bringing back the glory days to United

Usain Bolt expressed his gratitude to Erik ten Hag for returning Manchester United to its “golden days” during his visit to Old Trafford on Sunday.

The fastest man on earth had a memorable experience at the Theatre of Dreams while watching United defeat Fulham in a thrilling FA Cup quarterfinal.

United, who earlier in the season won the EFL Cup, will now play Brighton for a spot in the FA Cup final. That was United’s first trophy since 2017, and Ten Hag’s team was also vying for the Europa League title as they face Sevilla in the quarterfinals.

Bolt, a devoted supporter of Manchester United, has revealed that he is happy and expressed his satisfaction with the team’s development to Red Devils manager Ten Hag when they met at Old Trafford.

Eight-time Olympic gold medalist Bolt thinks that Ten Hag’s players ‘want to work hard’ for him and make the Dutchman ‘proud,’ which was lacking under past coaches.

As reported by the Metro, he said:

“The first thing I said to him was “thank you”, ‘That’s the first thing I said and he was like “thanks for what?” I was like “for bringing the glory days back”.

“I actually asked him about who we’re going to bring in in the summer and he was like “do you have any ideas?” It was a nice, simple but fun conversation.”

“It feels good to watch Manchester now. The team is together, they’re as one. They’re working together, they’re working hard and you can see the purpose now, you can see the determination in the way they play.”

“I was very happy with his progress and I can tell that he’s going to do a lot more. We have a lot more trophies in our future so I’m excited.”

Ten Hag has changed the player’s mentality since his move from Ajax. The Dutch manager’s strict discipline and values have brought a winning mentality to his player’s minds.

United never won a single trophy in the past seven years but they have now won the Carabao Cup and are progressing well in the Europa League and the FA Cup.

The Red Devils are also looking quite stable in the Premier League and they will be aiming to finish in the top four before the season ends. Also, the current takeover claims state that United will soon see a new owner before the season ends.

The Qatari investors and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are both the leading candidates to take over the club. If the Glazers part ways, then Ten Hag will receive a major boost in the upcoming transfer window.
