Donny Van de Beek is one of the best young midfielders in the world and is ready to take the step up. The Dutch midfielder had earlier drawn attention from Real Madrid, but due to the pandemic, Madrid will not move for Van de Beek. With recent rumours linking him to Manchester United, the Dutch international has spoken about his future at Ajax.
The Red Devils had earlier looked at Van de Beek but have recently prioritized a move for Jadon Sancho. Van de Beek will reportedly cost United only about £40m and Ajax will be obliged to sell their midfield prodigy. Lately, the Dutch midfielder hasn’t been very happy at Ajax seeing his mates move on but with no offers on the table for him.
Last night, after playing a friendly game, Van de Beek expressed his frustration about not getting a move due to the pandemic scenario. The Dutch midfielder said: “If there had not been the coronavirus, it might have been different now. There is no clarity now, and we have to wait and see how it turns out.”
