Manchester United’s first summer signing in the transfer window, Donny Van de Beek has had a good start to the season personally. Van de Beek has been good for the Red Devils whenever he has played and has also got his first goal for the club. It is now being reported by Manchester Evening News that Van de Beek might see a positional change in the next few games in the Premier League.
It has been a topic of a lot of discussion in the fanbase about Van de Beek starting for the Red Devils. The Dutch midfielder is very versatile as he has played almost everywhere in the midfielder at his former club Ajax. Thus, United will likely benefit from his versatility and use him in another position rather than his preferred centre-attacking midfield.
It has been reported that Solskjaer might use Van de Beek in the left-wing position in the Premier League. This decision comes due to the fact that Martial has been suspended for three games and Cavani is still in quarantine. Even after Cavani’s quarantine, the Uruguayan might not play instantly as he hasn’t played a competitive game for months.
Van de Beek might even play on the wings later tonight against Newcastle as Manchester United look to restore parity.
