Injury Update

Victor Lindelof to miss the game against Denmark

Manchester United have struggled at the beginning of the season, as the squad barely got any pre-season games. The result of such scheduling has been that United have had several injuries with the likes of Pogba and Telles also suffering from the coronavirus. It is now being reported by the Swedish FA that Victor Lindelof will not be involved in the international games due to quarantine rules.

It was earlier reported that Solskjaer had said that Lindelof was struggling with his back, after the Everton game. Manchester United only have Tuanzebe as their other option as a centre-back, if Lindelof gets injured. The quarantine rules have finally helped the Red Devils as they don’t allow Lindelof to play in this international break against Denmark.

A statement from the Swedish FA read: “Sweden’s five national team players from England and Scotland will not be available in the international match against Denmark due to quarantine rules. Instead, the players will join the national team gathering in Stockholm after the match. The five players affected are Robin Olsen, Emil Krafth, Filip Helander, Victor Lindelof and Ken Sema.”

This news will be music to the ears of Solskjaer, who would want his players to get some rest after a couple of tight weeks. Lindelof needs time to take care of his physical fitness to get back to his potential best while playing for the Red Devils. The Swedish centre-back will be expected to come back after the international break with full fitness and the club will need him to be at his best.
