Wayne Rooney Tells Jadon Sancho Not To Join Manchester United

Former Red Devils forward Wayne Rooney has advised Jadon Sancho not to join Manchester United and instead remain at the Westfalenstadion by continuing to play his football with Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho had a stunning breakthrough season with the Bundesliga club as he scored 12 times and notched up 14 assists as well in the German top flight helping Dortmund to a 2nd place finish on the table. The English wonder kid has been attracting interest from several other top suitors across the European continent including Manchester United.

United are in dire need of reinforcements this summer as they prepare a massive overhaul of players to exit the club and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also begun his recruiting by signing Daniel James and Aaron Wan Bissaka as well.

The Norwegian boss has not yet stopped with his summer spree as yet and is looking for a star winger who can add goals and assists to his United squad that are in the mood for tasting success. And Sancho fits the bill perfectly as he has proven himself at the Westfalenstadion.

However, a former Red Devil Wayne Rooney has advised Sancho to remain at Dortmund because he might not get regular football at Old Trafford.

While speaking to German news outlet Bild, the 33-year-old ex-England forward said, “Playing time is important for a young player like Jadon. Dortmund is a great club with great fans. They look too young players there, and you can see that with Sancho and the progress he’s made in the last 12 months.”

Rooney is currently playing his football at DC United and was once England’s youngest ever debutant but it’s quite a stunning remark for the former Manchester United forward to make after his spell with the 20 time League champions.
