Manchester United FC are looking to send some of their young players on-loan the next season to give provide them with game-time. The Red Devils are keen on seeing how some of their young players perform under pressure. It is now reported that Bundesliga club Werder Bremen are interested in signing Tahith Chong on-loan for the next season.
Tahith Chong had signed a contract extension with United in the previous months, which will keep him at the club till 2022. Chong has found game-time hard to come by in the first-team with Manchester United and is looking to play more. Chong’s agent has had contact with several Bundesliga clubs and reportedly Werder Bremen are leading the race to sign him on-loan.
According to Chong’s agent “Tahith would like to join the Bundesliga. We’ll talk to United about it on Thursday.”
Even Werder Bremen’s Sporting Director, Frank Bauman has been a vocal fan of Tahith Chong and would like to have him in Germany. Bauman has also gone on to say “He’s (Chong) got a lot of pace, he comes on the outside track – his profile fits. Because of our situation, he’s a player who could be interesting.”
With only 12 appearances this season for the Red Devils, Chong is likely to move elsewhere in search of game-time. The talented Dutch winger needs to show his class to earn him a place in the United starting 11.
